Dr. Ole is a global expert on all things related to animals: Their natural history, their habitat, and most of all, their health. He’s not your typical veterinarian. This self-described “wild man” is one of the most established veterinarians in northern Arizona, specializing in small, large, exotic, and wild animals.

Based in Lakeside, Arizona, White Mountain Animal Hospital is a fully equipped clinic led by the most experienced veterinarian in the White Mountains. Dr. Ole has knowledge of a large variety of species and the practical application of medicine, surgery, and other treatments. Dr. Ole and his work at Bearizona has led to the building of the new
Bearizona Wildlife Hospital. The state-of-the-art facility allows the
veterinary staff to facilitate surgeries, exams and better care for the animals to continue their mission to conserve wildlife. This addition to the 160-acre drive-and walk-through wildlife park south of the Grand Canyon opened in 2019.
Every animal from the big to the small, the innocent to the predatory deserves a helping hand. Dr. Ole and his team brave the elements and the animals themselves to give these creatures the care they need—with a few bites and scratches along the way.
